Poultice gone bad

Check out what happened to this island (http://maplered.com) in Ghibli Beige that I poulticed with StoneMedic grease remover and (http://maplered.com) StoneMedic Poultic powder.

It seams to have pulled out more than just the small grease stain that was there. If the slab was resined I would say that it removed that too but the slab wasn't resined. And this picture is after one application of Ager the day before. Looked great when I left and (http://maplered.com) it dried out to this. I tried applying more Ager but the Stone (http://g603.net) wouldn't take it so I put some on and (http://maplered.com) covered it with plastic to try to get it to penetrate before it evaporates. I didn't have a heat gun with me or I would have heated the Stone (http://g603.net) and (http://maplered.com) applied the Ager. If the plastic thing doesn't work I am going to go back and (http://maplered.com) try the heat gun.

Anyone have any thoughts on what caused the Stone (http://g603.net) to lighten so much?

The Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) had been sealed previously with Lithofin Stainstop when it was installed a few years ago with another application last year.
